JACKSON HOLE, WYOMING
A GRAND TETON, WYOMING // SMALL FAMILY WEDDING
9. 24. 22 - Jackson Hole, Wyoming // Grand Teton National Park.
Brinley and Thor are the most down to earth people I've ever met. They wanted a small wedding in the Grand Tetons with immediate family and a few close friends. It was truly the most magical experience in our whole career to be able to capture them.
The weather was incredible boasting cool fall temps and at night, that cold winter chill. The sky was clear and the mountains were vibrant and crisp.
Brinley and Thor wanted some photos and video of the rehearsal hangout they had the day before the wedding so Michael and I went and hung out for a few moments and really got to know the family and friends there. It was so special to hangout with them and get to know everyone. It was such a tight knit group so to be welcomed with opened arms was amazing and we knew immediately it was going to be such an incredible weekend. The moms gave a surprise speech that was def a tear jerker - probably the one of the most memorable moments of the weekend.
The following day, we showed up to Brinleys getting ready cabins in Jackson - it was so cute to get some getting ready shots there with the girls and moms! After, we all ventured off to the park for a first touch and private vows before the ceremony! We had them positioned on the corner of the iconic Mormon Row barn. It was truly such a beautiful day and the weather was INCREDIBLE. After, we did a first look with Brinley's dad, too!
We got situated for the ceremony and the park ranger helping us was SO SO accommodating. Because it is a national park, you can't tell people they can't be in a specific area while touristing around. People normally are respectful when it comes to wedding ceremonies so we had no issue in this department when it came to ceremony! And, the park ranger was great at helping us out.
The ceremony was about 10 minutes long and truly, so magical. Thor's dad officiated the ceremony and you could see in his eyes how proud he was to be standing there getting his son married. After, we did all family photos, bridal party photos and then ventured off to Schwabachers Landing for some incredible couples portraits and their first dance as a married couple. It was so emotional to watch - I def was tearing up while they danced under the mountain tops. Everything about that night was truly unforgettable. The way Thor looks at Brinley is so endearing and sweet - truly something mothers pray for when praying over a spouse for their little girls.
We drove back into Jackson Hole for family dinner and cutting the cake, signing the marriage license. Snake River Grill has a small, private room that families can use for dinner and it was perfect for the size they had. We took a short break and joined them after for cake cutting and a few photos to follow.
The next morning, we drove and met Brinley and Thor at Schwabachers Landing - Beavers Den for sunrise shots. When I say, that was the most magical moment of the trip - I mean it with every fiber of my being. The way the sun peaks over and hits the mountain tops, turning it a bright orange and pink array truly takes your breath away. I'm so happy they have those images to last a lifetime. We ran around the park for about an hour and did some more photos and video - celebrating them. It was a day we all will never forget.
It was a weekend we all in attendance will never forget. Burnside's forever - Amen.
